Angela Carter’s The Erl-King is a fairy tale rich in imagery and symbolism, the language of which creates a multi-sensory world for the reader to delve into.
My study explored how a written piece of prose could be developed into a three dimensional immersive theatre experience.
The scale model was created and developed as a tool for exploration, focusing on the audience’s viewpoint, their relation to the spaces they are placed in, and the creation of a unified atmosphere through the use of sensory stimulation.
